Internet streaming is the method of delivering multimedia elements (usually video or audio) from a data streaming service provider to “end users” via computers, mobile devices, televisions, and home entertainment systems.
The media (aka content) is usually streamed from prerecorded media files, but can also be distributed as part of a live broadcast feed. The content is typically delivered to the end user through the data service providers website and/or streaming application (aka App’s). Content can be accessed directly from your smartphone, tablet, computer, or smart tv by downloading and utilizing a streaming app. Another extremely popular option is to access the content by connecting a streaming media device.
